I Hope You Voted

Most of you follow my blog because of my insight on the music industry. Well let me tell you, it’s been pretty quiet this year #thanks2020. So I’m going off the rails a little bit.

I’m not here to tell you which way to vote. If you’re blue or red, I don’t care. If you pay any attention to my blogs, you probably know which way I go, but that’s not the point.

If you are reading this, and you are an American citizen and 18 or older, I hope you voted. I hope you voted by mail, I personally voted early, I hope you voted today. However, if you didn’t vote. Your voice isn’t being heard, and if you complain about anything going on in the world, just remember you didn’t vote.

Why is voting so important? I’ve saved my music and art departments through my years at school. It was because I used my voice to persuade the board members to keep the music programs alive. They voted because I said something. I stood up for something.

If your voice is all that matters, why aren’t you using it?
